The Family Directed Resources (FDR) program ensures the availability of support services to help people live as they choose; promotes their health, safety and welfare; and, helps and supports the families of these individuals in reaching these goals.

A primary goal of this service is to assist in caring for individual family members in their homes.  The support provided with FDR funds enhances the quality of life for the entire family unit, and includes:

  • Respite care
  • Adaptive equipment
  • Home modifications to accommodate the family member with a disability
  • Special diets
  • Other services/items that are individualized

In order to access FDR funds, the family must be caring for the person with developmental disabilities at home, and the individual must be eligible for services through the Morrow County Board of Developmental Disabilities The family cannot be receiving funds from another funding source (e.g. waiver, foster placement funds, etc.)
